Hi class. This is Mr. O'Hara and I wanted to welcome you back for a new semester of Online US History. The class will run the same way as first semester so I will not be requiring you to attend an orientation. I will be putting a copy of the syllabus on my teacher page on the Santiago homepage. I am listed under History/Social Science if you need to access it. Remember a college rule composition book is required for the unit notes. I am going to ask you to put the unit and lesson names at the top of the pages as this makes grading much easier and faster. Notes need to be a minimum of 1 1/2 pages per lesson with the summary on thebottom half of the back page. So new lessons should always begin on the right. I will have the unit deadlines on the syllabus when I get it up on my page. FYI the first unit is due Feb. 4 so notes must be in before that. Remember also that 50 points participation is given for completion of the ENTIRE unit including reports and unit test by the deadline. If the whole unit is not completed on time then those points are forfeit. Good luck and get started as the class has begun. If you have any questions you can Remind me or stop by my room in L101.
