Santiago High School's AVID program was awarded the Golden Bell Award for its mentoring program called "L.U.C.H.A. Con F.U.E.R.Z.A." where its mission is to close the achievement gap by establishing a culture of cyclical mentoring that will foster generational leadership, academic success, and lifelong mentoring. The program starts at Home Gardens Academy and continues over to Santiago High School's AVID program. We would like to thank
AVID Coordinator, Rogelio Padilla as well as Assistant Principal of Home Gardens (and former Shark), Carlos Guillen.
