A message from Mr. Mitchell:
"I believe that participation in athletics has proven to be one of the greatest conduits in developing a young person's character. It is our responsibility, while teaching the fundamentals of each sport and preparing our athletes to compete at the highest Varsity level, to emphasize our community's moral values and use the athletic arena to foster the character traits of trust, commitment, respect, loyalty and self-sacrifice. Winning is not a goal in itself, however, if we help build the type of student-athletes that our entire community will be proud of, we have achieved success and Santiago High School has WON."
